What’s the protocol regarding a tandem partner?
You first connect over the internet and decide where and when to meet. Then, you have to talk about random stuff in another language while trying not to end up with a headache afterwards.
Ok, I got that.
But what if you totally hate the person, what if s/he gives me a weird vibe and I don’t ever want to meet them again.
What do you do? You “break up” with them over text? Sorry, I can’t meet you again, it’s not you, it’s me… I met someone else?! There is another tandem partner that I really connect better in so many levels.
Or, what if s/he thinks I’m weird and then they break up with me first?!

This is not good. Not good at all.

We have only 24 hours left of Deutsch A2.1 and we still have 3 chapters left. 3!
This makes me nervous.
The next chapter alone is Präpositionaladverbien. And Reflexive Verben and Verben mit Präposition. It looks hard and still need to find my tandem partner.

German Game Plan or Schlachtplan

Here we go:

Deutsch A2.1 is over on Tuesday 10/18/11 ( I have this week off)
Deutsch A2.2 is from 20/10 - 16/11
Deutsch B1.1 is from 18/11 - 15/12
Holiday break and New Year. Possible trip to Chicago 16/12 - 26/12.
Deutsch B1.2 is from 16/1 - 10/2
Then on 11/2 at 10:30am, I take the Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer (DTZ). Which I think, I only need to take Zertifikat Deutsch (Deutsch B1). I’m not taking German due to immigration status/requirements. Taking German for fun. Yup, fun, fun fun!

I need to get a tandem partner to practice speaking/having full conversations in German.

I can do this!

Oh, then there is this little thing called FET. No clue when we will squeeze that.

Tomorrow, at my German language class, I have to talk about a typical fast food staple from Chicago (or US) and I picked Chicago style hot dogs.
I’m scare, they might think we are crazy after I’m done, between the damped white bread, florescent green relish and bright yellow mustard.
I hope, I make Chicago proud.
