Abandon aluminum processing factory in Malcontenta, Italy.
This is one of the few times I really wanted a better camera. I just couldn’t capture the magnitude of it all. Also, there were holes everywhere, not like I could move around freely.

While in Venice, I went to an abandon aluminum factory around the town of Malcontenta.
My friend took me there and pretty much broke into this place. I guess, it’s very common by the amount of graffiti around.
This place was surreal, I felt I was in a movie set - the Matrix or Terminator or The City of Lost Children. The noise of old metal and roof pieces made the experience even more unbelievable.
I probably, inhaled a lot of asbestos, too.
This is the main… oven… or reactor. Not sure.
My friend kept telling me “we’re going to see the heart”. Once we arrived, after climbing some sketchy stairs and avoiding some major holes on the floors/roof, it was amazing. This thing did look like a heart and it was huge; the noise it made due to the wind was scary and plain end-of-the-world futuristic.
It was a fantastic experience.
